Citizens will be on their best behaviour because we're constantly recording and reporting everything that's going on.
The first thing a country needs to do is to unify all of their data so it can be consumed and used by the AI model. You have to take alof your healthcare data your diagnostic data, you relectronic health records, your genomic data...the NHS in the UK has an incredible amount of population data, but its fragmented; it's not easily accessible by these AI models. We have to take all this data which we have in our country and move it into a single unified data platform...
- Larry Ellison, head of Oracle
Since Larry Ellison and the Tony Blair Institute seem so keen on the transformative power of AI and how the NHS should just 'defragment' and feed all it's data to AI .. I thought it would be a good use of AI to quickly find out what link there was - if any - between Tony Blair and the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change (TBI) and Larry Ellison of Oracle. I used venice.ai and here is what it came up with:
'Larry Ellison, the founder of Oracle, is indeed a significant funder of the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change (TBI). Since 2021, Ellison's personal foundation, the Larry Ellison Foundation, has donated or pledged at least £257 million to the TBI, which has substantially grown the institute's operations and influence.
'The connection between Larry Ellison and the Tony Blair Institute goes beyond just financial support. The institute has undergone a significant cultural shift due to Ellison's funding, with a focus on technology and AI. This shift has led to the recruitment of staff from blue-chip firms like McKinsey and Silicon Valley giants such as Meta, changing the institute's direction towards promoting tech solutions and lobbying for Oracle's interests.
'The partnership is so intertwined that Oracle and TBI have held joint retreats, and there are individuals, such as Awo Ablo, who sit on the boards of both organizations. This close relationship has raised questions about potential conflicts of interest, although the institute has insisted that donations are ringfenced and that there is no conflict.
'Furthermore, the TBI has been involved in advocating for policies that align with Oracle's interests, such as pushing for the unification of data infrastructure, which could benefit Oracle's tech solutions. This has led to concerns about the institute's role in influencing UK tech and data policies in favor of Oracle and Ellison's interests.'

In turn these three articles are well worth a read - a primer before listening to anything Tony 'weapons of mass destruction' Blair and the TBI spergs out about AI. Here is an excerpt
There is a reason why men whose fortunes are built on AI investments would target the UK, and that is the National Health Service (NHS) and its unique population-level health data. Tech experts talk about Britain’s health records in almost hushed tones. While Europe and the US have some comparable health data sets – such as US veterans’ medical records – none have the depth and breadth of NHS records dating back to 1948. Its potential commercial value, from drugs to genome sequencing has been estimated at up to £10bn per annum.
When Labour came to power last July it did so promising economic growth and an end to the UK’s productivity crisis. Just five days after Keir Starmer was elected, Blair told the TBI’s ‘Future of Britain’ conference that AI was the “game-changer” they were looking for. Within months, Starmer was parroting Blair’s language – and the TBI was in the box seat of the government’s nascent AI policy pushing Oracle’s interests and its founder’s world view.
