Netflix economic model doesn't care if you pirate movies because it doesn't affect their bottom line. Subscribers won't bother pirating if a movie is available on netflix, they will likely only pirate if the movie is not available. If it's available on another streaming platform, people will tur nto the high seas to obtain it raher than signing up for a subscription. That is what is behind all those '7 day free trials' on Prime Video. It's not on Prime but available on Paramount with a trial, it's just a couple of clicks away. People will do that rather than getting out the laptop, firing up the torrent service and waiting...especially if entertaining. "I'll just cancel it before the free trial is over" they tell themselves. Then forget.
